Final Project
For our last project of the year, we revisited the engineering design cycle where the last step is to redesign your project. You can read more about the engineering design cycle here. I decided for this project to expand on the drums my partner, Isabella, and I made in the Build-a-Band project. We only had two weeks to execute this so we had to plan fast.
Since we already knew the physics behind drums and other instruments, we didn't need to do much more research. All we needed to do was find new materials. Since Isabella and I found this to be an easy task, we combined elements of the Physics of Sports project into our "Do it Better" project. This means that we made a video to accompany the presentation of our drums, showing the process to make them. You can see it below.
This time we made our drums out of empty and dry paint cans and leather. Watch the video to find out more.

Reflection
This project was probably the most fun I had this year. I got to work with my friend on a project I was interested in expanding upon. I like creating the video also, despite how time-consuming it was. The hardest parts were the time constraints and writing down all the physics of drums again.
